Trees, Travel and other things (2001 – 2004)

It would be fair to say that this exhibition strayed off the often brittle and insightful subject matter of previous shows. Yet another visit back to Italy and some of its most beautiful regions Abruzzo, Tuscany, Amalfi, Como etc gave rise to a rather indulgent show. Whilst the work concentrates on the pleasures of travel, it does not educate as can be witness in previous shows. Shelton said he “really enjoyed just painting the images around him.
