Just a Painter Now (2008 – 2011)

Whereas Shelton’s previous exhibition was a rather pointed visual expression of “Growing, Grumpy, Disgracefully”, these mainly oil paintings have moved on to a more positive and exuberant demonstrations of colour and form. Local florist Panache and the famous Toscana’s provide interesting starting points for many of these new evocative works. When asked what he paints, Shelton always replies “good paintings” but others will be the judge.
