a little innuendo
In 2017 I produced an exhibition titled 2 / / + 3 ) ( ( = ? !. It was an equation. People could put their own interpretation on what they were observing. What I though was rarely consistent with what other were thinking.
The larger paintings have moved on to possible titles. Smaller works are more open and accessible to private thoughts. In the back of my mind the word innuendo was lurking. It was apparently lacking in my previous show. Others have described my work as figurative. I believe that it continues the Australian tradition of “the figure in the landscape.”
I’m still trying to produce more from less. Those who take time to seek out the real or imagined clues may surprise themselves. What I thought doesn’t matter. It is just a little innuendo.
